Traffic Control Devices, Inc. (TCD) is a privately owned corporation established in 1978 by a team of highly qualified and experienced individuals. Traffic Control Devices has earned a reputation of quality in the contracting field and engineering industry. Traffic Control Devices specializes in the design, construction, implementation and maintenance of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) type projects and their appurtenant communications, control equipment and display hardware.
Traffic Control Devices has established a leadership role in ITS design, installation, and maintenance for Traffic Signal and Freeway Management Systems. These include Central Traffic Control Systems, Closed Loop Systems, and Surveillance and Motorist Information Systems, inclusive of their respective communications network. Traffic Control Devices has integrated and maintained communications systems employing dial-up/leased line, hardwire, twisted pair telephone cable, fiber optics and wireless microwave media and their terminal equipment.
